The Beauty of a Dawn Walk

This week we had our first dawn walk of the season. At 4.30 a.m. a couple and I setout on the walk. It was a beautiful still but overcast day. The low cloud made the mountains look dramatic, but at the same time odd, the cloud was holding such a perfect line that it looked like the tops had been cut off at that level. As w
e were walking along the day started to brighten as the landscape went from a dramatic iron gray to a beautiful mix of greens blues and purples.

Once we found our spot we stopped for a good long look at the view and a cup of coffee or hot chocolate. After about 5mins of looking at the view we were driven off by the numbers of midgies which started to disperse once we started walking. As we walked back the sky was still brightening and the view down Loch Torridon was absolutely breathtaking.
